Lagos: Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Convener of the annual Christian music festival in Lagos, has emphasized that The Experience serves as a platform for African youth to ascend into leadership roles.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, The Experience is recognized as one of the largest gospel music events globally, drawing thousands of attendees for an evening of worship and praise. This event, organized by the House on the Rock church, showcases both international and local gospel artists, promoting unity and spiritual growth through its electrifying atmosphere.
Adefarasin highlighted that the vibrant unity experienced at the festival acts as divine training for participants, equipping them to address and overcome the continent’s challenges. As the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, he envisions a transformed Nigeria and Africa through the creative potential of its youth. This message was delivered during a news conference for the 2025 edition of the all-night gospel concert, which also marked the evaluation of The Experience’s 20 years of evangelism. He praised the artists who have contributed to the event since its inception, under this year’s theme, ‘Jesus United.’
Pastor Adefarasin expressed that God is raising new African leaders through the unity witnessed at The Experience. The event is seen as a manifestation of divine presence, encouraging attendees to tackle longstanding issues. He noted that God’s response to praise and worship facilitates visionary leadership, aiding individuals and nations to overcome stagnation. Adefarasin lamented Africa’s underdevelopment but asserted that The Experience lays the groundwork for a new wave of African youth leadership across various sectors.
The Church, according to Adefarasin, remains a cornerstone of strength and innovation, with unity being vital for youth empowerment. He believes that the best outcomes will emerge from the Church, with the spirit of unity resonating deeply among the youth. The News Agency of Nigeria also reports that the House on the Rock Church has ensured robust security measures for The Experience, set to take place at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos. Artists such as Travis Greene, Chevelle Franklyn, and many others are expected to perform, drawing a large audience to the event.
