Post: Tinubu Returns to Abuja After Shortened Vacation


Abuja: President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after cutting short his working vacation ahead of schedule. The President’s aircraft landed at the Presidential Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Tinubu was greeted by top officials, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, among others. The President had initially departed for France on September 4 as part of his annual holiday, with intentions to also visit the United Kingdom.



Presidential Spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, had previously stated that Tinubu’s vacation was scheduled to last 10 working days. During his stay in Paris, Tinubu engaged in a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace. Both leaders discussed key bilateral issues and committed to enhancing cooperation aimed at mutual growth and global stability.
