Post: Women Economic Growth Key to National Development – Forum

Abuja: The President and Founder of Concerned Sisters Forum (CSF), Hajiya Binta Ibrahim, emphasized the importance of women’s economic growth as a vital component for the overall development and prosperity of the nation. She made this statement during an event where interest-free loans were distributed to some forum members to enhance their small and medium scale businesses.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the statement was issued by the forum’s spokesperson, Evelyn Onyilo, highlighting Ibrahim’s commitment to supporting women’s financial independence. Ibrahim stressed that empowering women leads to prosperous families, communities, and nations. The initial loan disbursement included amounts of one million naira and five hundred thousand naira, benefiting nine individuals as part of a pilot scheme.

Ibrahim assured that more women would be included in the forthcoming phases of the initiative. She urged the loan recipients to repay the loans within nine months to extend the opportunity to others. The Concerned Sisters Forum was inaugurated in December 2025 to support women’s active participation in national development.
