Abuja: Mr. Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), announced that the construction of the 10-kilometer access road to the Renewed Hope City in Karsana is scheduled for completion in May. Wike shared this update during his inspection of ongoing projects in Abuja, expressing his satisfaction with the progress made by the contractor.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Wike remarked on the quality of the work, highlighting the road’s design as a ring road that spans over 10 kilometers. He confidently stated that the project is on track to meet its May-June deadline. During his visit, Wike also examined the newly completed 8-lane Obafemi Awolowo Way (Arterial Road N5), which provides a link between Life Camp, Dape District, and Karmo.
The minister noted that the Obafemi Awolowo Way project is complete, with streetlights installed. The only pending task is the walkway, which is expected to be finished in three weeks. Wike expressed optimism that this project will be inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu during his third anniversary. He emphasized that his visit was part of routine inspections aimed at assessing contractor performance, quality, and adherence to project timelines.
