Post: ACCI Calls for Enhanced Government Support and Business-Friendly Policies


Abuja: The President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Chief Emeka Obegolu, made an earnest appeal for sustained government support and the implementation of stronger business policies in his Eid-el-Fitr message, delivered through the chamber’s Media and Strategy Officer, Mrs. Olayemi John-Mensah. Obegolu extended his congratulations to the Muslim faithful for the successful completion of Ramadan, a month characterized by devotion, sacrifice, discipline, and spiritual renewal.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Obegolu emphasized that the values of patience, integrity, and perseverance demonstrated during Ramadan are crucial for fostering sustainable and prosperous businesses. He applauded the resilience, commitment, and entrepreneurial spirit displayed by the business community despite facing prevailing economic challenges.



The ACCI president urged the government to maintain and enhance its support for businesses to ensure they operate in a more favorable environment. He highlighted the necessity for policies that promote ease of doing business, improve access to finance, and bolster infrastructure development. Obegolu stressed that a stable economic climate is essential for enterprises to flourish and make significant contributions to national growth.



As a leader of the Organised Private Sector in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Obegolu encouraged businesses to remain innovative and optimistic. He noted that their contributions are critical to economic growth, job creation, and national development. He urged the business community to continue fostering unity and collaboration in their operations while emphasizing the importance of ethical business practices in strengthening the private sector.



Obegolu stated that collective efforts by businesses are vital to overcoming economic challenges and unlocking new opportunities. He concluded by saying, “As we celebrate Sallah, let us renew our commitment to peace, progress, and prosperity. With the right support and shared vision, Nigeria could build a vibrant and resilient economy.”
