Post: Ajibade and Monday Lead Arrival of Super Falcons in Yaound© for Friendly Matches Against Cameroon

Yaound©: Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, forward Gift Monday, Christy Ucheibe, and eight additional players have reported to the Super Falcons camp in Yaound©, Cameroon, in preparation for the upcoming two-match friendly series against the host nation.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Mary Akinsola, the Media Officer for the team, announced on Wednesday that the team will conduct training sessions at 4:30 p.m. at Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Abidjo, with more players expected to join the camp in the coming days.

Additional players who have arrived include Ngozi Okobi-Okeogene from Canada, Glory Ogbonna based in Israel, and Joy Omewa from Nottingham Forest in England. The squad is further strengthened by the presence of Esther Onyenezide from Madrid, Fatima Okolo from Abia Angels, Favour Nkwocha of FC Robo, Precious Christopher from Tanzania, and Oluwatosin Demehin, who plays for Galatasaray Sportive in Turkey.

The matches are scheduled for Saturday and Tuesday, March 3, both taking place in Yaound©. These friendly games are part of the team’s preparation for the 13th Women African Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which is set to occur from March 13 to April 3, 2026.
