Abuja: The APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has described Saturday’s FCT council elections as a resounding endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing reforms. In a statement issued in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy, Mr. Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda said the results affirmed Tinubu’s governance direction.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Yilwatda stated that the overwhelming support recorded by the APC, particularly in the FCT, reflected confidence in the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu-led administration. He noted that the outcome demonstrated Nigerians’ belief that the current reforms would ultimately guide the country towards sustainable progress and prosperity.
Yilwatda extended congratulations to APC supporters in the FCT, Kano, and Rivers for the peaceful and credible conduct of Saturday’s polls. He emphasized that the victories achieved by the party were a testament to the resilience, unity, and grassroots strength of the APC.
He highlighted the national significance of the FCT Area Council results for both the party and the administration. Yilwatda remarked that the Abuja election represented a powerful statement of support for President Tinubu and his reform agenda. He believed that the residents of the nation’s capital had sent a strong message of renewed hope and confidence in the administration’s capacity to reposition Nigeria.
The APC chairman congratulated the party’s chairmanship candidates who triumphed in AMAC, Kuje, Abaji, Bwari, and Kwali, asserting that their victories demonstrated the party’s deep grassroots connection. He also acknowledged the success of the PDP chairmanship candidate in Gwagwalada, viewing it as proof of democracy prevailing.
Furthermore, Yilwatda celebrated the victories of four APC State House of Assembly candidates in Kano and Rivers states, attributing their success to effective party organization and public trust in APC leadership. He commended party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters across the three states for their discipline and peaceful participation.
