Abuja: The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has issued a disclaimer regarding a press release allegedly issued by its Head of Press and Public Relations, Zira Zakka Nagga. The press release in question is related to a legal suit involving the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (CIPSMN).
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Zira stated in a statement on Friday that the press release is not authentic and should be disregarded. Zira emphasized that the attention of the BPP has been drawn to the unauthorized press release circulating publicly, which was ostensibly issued by his office.
The BPP clarified that the press release did not originate from its Office of the Press and Public Relations. The bureau stressed that the content does not reflect its position, will, approval, or directive in any form.
