Abuja: The Workshop of Wealth (W.O.W.), a pan-African platform promoting leadership, wealth creation, and legacy, is set to drive continental collaboration and economic development across Africa. The Convener, Lelo Ndlovu Waka Gatsheni, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja that this will be achieved through a two-day continental convening in Sandton, Johannesburg. It will feature the W.O.W Africa 50 Women recognition and a founding dialogue.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the dialogue will focus on collaboration, leadership, shared influence, and economic development across the continent. Gatsheni announced that the W.O.W Africa 50 Women Honours will be held on the eve of International Women’s Day, Saturday, March 7. This event aims to recognise 50 African women whose leadership, enterprise, and influence are shaping industries, communities, and economic outcomes across Africa.
Gatsheni emphasized that the honours will spotlight women across business, finance, health, mining, environmental advocacy, media, fashion, innovation, and public leadership, celebrating impact, endurance, and contribution rather than popularity. Selected honourees will also be featured in W.O.W Business Magazine, a curated publication documenting the journeys, philosophies, and leadership insights of Africa’s most influential women. The magazine will serve as both a record and a reference point, preserving the stories of African women building institutions and shaping legacy beyond a single moment.
March 9 is designated for the W.O.W Africa 100 Founding Members Breakfast Convening, a closed-door, high-level meeting intended to deepen collaboration among African women leaders, founders, investors, and professionals. Gatsheni clarified that this is not a networking breakfast but a strategic, founding dialogue focusing on shared influence over individual competition, cross-border collaboration, wealth creation through ownership, access, and partnerships, and building African-led platforms, institutions, and ecosystems.
In addition, Gatsheni mentioned that W.O.W Africa would host W.O.W Africa 50 Men on June 6, bringing together influential African men who support ethical leadership, economic inclusion, and collaborative development alongside women. She highlighted that together, the women’s and men’s platforms reflect W.O.W Africa’s belief that sustainable economic growth is built through partnership, not polarity.
W.O.W Africa is presented by The Lelo N Foundation and The House of W.O.W as part of a broader continental commitment to African excellence, shared prosperity, and legacy leadership.
