Abuja: A former Niger Delta agitator, Mr. Endurance Amagbein, has urged Nigerians to support the military to root out all forms of insecurity in the country. Amagbein, the self-styled General, delivered this appeal through his New Year message, which he made available to newsmen in Abuja.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the ex-militant also emphasized the importance of Nigerians being security conscious and supporting the administration of President Bola Tinubu to ensure it delivers more dividends of democracy to the people. Amagbein pledged his support to the Tinubu-led Federal Government and prayed for the protection of military personnel who are serving the nation.
He encouraged Nigerians to maintain hope and expect positive outcomes in 2026. The ex-agitator expressed his wishes for a fruitful year for the government and the citizens, emphasizing that there is no limit to what can be achieved if there is belief in the possibility.
Amagbein conveyed special greetings to President Tinubu and the National Assembly’s leadership for their efforts in keeping the nation united despite the challenges it faces. He highlighted the New Year as an opportunity for citizens and leaders to support one another and commit to initiatives that promote peace and unity.
Additionally, he congratulated the Minister of Defence, retired Gen. Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, DSS Director-General, Adeola Ajayi, and other service chiefs for their dedication to defending Nigeria’s sovereignty and maintaining peace. He prayed for divine strength for them to continue their efforts.
Known as ‘Adaka Boro’ the Second, Amagbein also extended warm wishes to the Commanding Officers of 5 Battalion Elele, Port Harcourt; the 16 Brigade, Yenagoa, and the Director of DSS in Bayelsa, as well as the Central Naval Command Headquarters, Yenagoa, and the Joint Task Force (JTF) Operation Delta Safe for their roles in maintaining peace and security.
He sent his regards to the government and people of Bayelsa State, led by Governor Douye Diri, expressing hope for a favorable year for all. Amagbein advised Nigerians to avoid actions that do not promote peace and unity.
