Post: Eze-Onyebuchi Chukwu Appointed Deputy Director for South-East Youth Mobilisation

Manila:The PBAT/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council has named Eze-Onyebuchi Chukwu, the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as the Deputy Director of Youth Mobilisation for the South-East Zone. Chukwu is set to assist Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, known as Obi Cubana, who serves as the zonal director. His role will involve rallying youth support across the region for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign, Renewed Hope 2.0.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Chukwu expressed that his analysis of Tinubu’s policies, appointments, and infrastructure efforts in the South-East influenced his decision to accept the new role. He extended gratitude to President Tinubu, the campaign’s Director-General, Sen. Abdulaziz Yari, and the National Director of Youth Mobilisation, Ayodele Olawande, for their trust in him. He also acknowledged the support from APGA’s national leadership, which he credited for aiding his political growth.

Chukwu highlighted the increased focus on the South-East under Tinubu’s leadership, citing advances in political inclusion and infrastructure development. He compared this engagement to that of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, noting the ongoing challenges in the region and the necessity for continued efforts to meet local expectations.

He committed to fostering issue-based political discourse, encouraging peaceful democratic involvement, and ensuring youth participation in national progress. Chukwu emphasized that politics should aim to unite, create opportunities, and enhance public good, rather than exacerbate divisions.

The campaign council’s directorate secretary is Nkem Nwodo, with members including Chimamkpam Ogbonaya, Jerry Chinedu, and Carl Mbanefo. This appointment integrates an APGA national youth leader into the APC-led campaign council in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
