Abuja: The Federal Government has reopened all 47 Federal Unity Colleges that were shut in the wake of rising insecurity in some parts of the country, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives of students and ensuring uninterrupted education nationwide. This development was announced in a statement released in Abuja by Mrs. Folasade Boriowo, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Education.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, academic activities have fully resumed following the enhancement of security measures both within and around the affected schools. Mrs. Boriowo noted that students have returned safely, with many concluding their December academic programs and others completing their examinations successfully.
The statement assured parents, guardians, and the public that the safety, welfare, and well-being of students remain a top priority. The government is actively collaborating with security agencies to maintain stability and restore normalcy within school environments across the nation. The federal government is resolute in its duty to protect every Nigerian child’s right to education in a secure environment.
