Siddharthanagar: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya, emphasized the need for academic activities to be centered around the interests of students. While speaking at the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Deaf Child Secondary School in Siddharthanagar Municipality-2, Acharya highlighted the importance of aligning education with the needs, capacity building, and future prospects of students.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Acharya called for a shift in perspective towards differently able individuals, stressing that the provincial government is focused on making such students self-reliant and encouraging them to become entrepreneurs. He noted that the government is actively creating opportunities for differently able individuals to thrive.
The Deaf Child Secondary School, established in 2032 BS, has been instrumental in providing education to deaf children not only within the district but also in surrounding areas.
