Post: International Youth Day: Nwoko Urges Youths to Remain Ambitious, Resilient

Abuja: Sen. Ned Nwoko (APC-Delta) has urged youths in the country to remain ambitious, resilient, and engaged in national affairs, saying their voices, ideas, and participation matter. Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, gave the charge on Wednesday in Abuja in a message to Nigerian youths to mark the 2026 International Youth Day.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the lawmaker emphasized that the theme of his message, “Beyond Tomorrow: The Generation Building Nigeria Today,” underscores the role of youths not merely as the leaders of tomorrow but as the current pillars of the country. He highlighted the diverse fields where young Nigerians are making significant contributions, from entrepreneurship and innovation to culture and community sustenance.

Nwoko, who serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Reparations and Repatriation, noted his commitment to legislative responsibilities focused on the interests of young Nigerians. He mentioned that many of the bills and initiatives he has sponsored aim to create opportunities for youths, enhancing their access to education, supporting innovation, and ensuring meaningful participation in Nigeria’s development.

The senator reiterated his belief that the younger generation deserves more than encouragement; they need an environment where their ideas can thrive, their talents find expression, and their hard work leads to meaningful opportunities. He pledged to continue contributing to legislation and public service efforts that build a Nigeria where young people do not have to wait for the future to realize their potential.

Nwoko congratulated young Nigerians who are contributing to national development and building a better future, wishing all Nigerian youths a happy International Youth Day.
