Post: Minister of Information Reaffirms Commitment to Public Awareness on Government Policies.


Abuja: Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has reiterated the Federal Government’s dedication to ensuring that citizens are well-informed about its policies and programmes. This commitment was expressed during a briefing with journalists following a meeting with presidential media aides in the capital city.

According to Voice of Nigeria, the Minister emphasized the importance of communication in national development. He highlighted that the Federal Government’s communication team is focused on keeping Nigerians updated on government activities, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for transparency and accountability. Idris reassured the public of the President’s commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, despite the challenges associated with implementing necessary reforms.

The Minister appealed to Nigerians for patience, underscoring the President’s determination to achieve prosperity for the nation. He acknowledged that the reforms being undertake
n are complex but stressed that they are on the right track and that their benefits will soon be evident to all. Idris expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s administration will deliver on its promises, urging citizens to allow more time for the reforms to take effect.

Addressing the recent disruption of electricity in parts of northern Nigeria, Idris announced significant progress in restoring power. He stated that over 70 percent of the affected areas have had electricity restored, with full restoration expected by Sunday. The President had dispatched the Minister of Power to oversee the efforts, which have been met with considerable success.
