Post: Mohammed Ndarani Announces People-Centred Agenda for Niger South Senatorial Race


Minna: Mr. Mohammed Ndarani, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has declared his intention to run for the Niger South Senatorial seat with a focus on a people-centered agenda aimed at economic growth, social welfare, and infrastructural development. He announced his candidacy for the 2027 general elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC) during a formal event held at the APC state secretariat.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ndarani addressed party state executives and supporters, emphasizing that his ambition is driven by a desire to promote socio-economic development in Niger state. He described his candidacy as divinely inspired and timely, asserting that his mission is to achieve significant development for his zone and the state.



Ndarani stressed the importance of building influence that benefits the people, rather than merely occupying office. His campaign will focus on education, healthcare, agriculture, security, and economic expansion, aiming to provide citizens with access to quality life and services.



He pledged his support for Governor Mohammed Bago, praising him as a leader committed to transforming Niger State. Ndarani also expressed his readiness to complement the governor’s efforts and advance his vision for the state. Additionally, he acknowledged prominent APC figures and praised President Bola Tinubu for his national reforms.



Ndarani paid tribute to Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, for his guidance. He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the APC in Niger ahead of the 2027 elections, urging party members to prioritize competence, compassion, and accessibility when selecting candidates.



He outlined his development agenda, which includes youth and women’s empowerment, educational scholarships, and improved infrastructure. He also highlighted his past efforts in securing a 13 percent derivation for Niger State and vowed to ensure that the state’s natural resources benefit its people.



In his remarks, APC State Chairman Hon. Aminu Bobi described the party as strong and united, expressing confidence in Ndarani’s candidacy. He praised Ndarani as a critical stakeholder and loyal party member with widespread support, noting his advocacy for the creation of Eduko State from parts of Niger, Kogi, and Kwara states, as well as the FCT.
