Post: Saraki to Inaugurate Largest Private ICT Centre in North-East

Bauchi: Former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, is set to inaugurate a private Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre in Azare, Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State, on August 16. This centre, developed by Usman Adamu-Suphi, is recognized as the largest privately developed ICT facility in the North-East region.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, a statement released by the Suphi Support Group and signed by Isa Shehu on Saturday highlighted the significance of the facility as a regional technology hub aimed at enhancing digital skills and fostering innovation. The centre is designed to provide young people, entrepreneurs, and residents with opportunities to acquire ICT skills, thereby promoting digital entrepreneurship and improving access to technology.

The group emphasized that the project aims to bridge the digital divide while supporting youth empowerment and economic development within the region. It further noted that this initiative exemplifies how private-sector investment can complement government efforts in human capital development and digital inclusion.

Expressing optimism, the group believes that the inauguration of this facility will encourage further investment in technology and innovation across the North-East, ultimately contributing to the socio-economic progress of the region.
