Abuja: The Senate at plenary confirmed the nomination of Dr. Kingsley Udeh for appointment as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Udeh, currently serving as the Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice in Enugu State, was confirmed following his screening by the Committee of the Whole.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Udeh responded to questions from senators during the session, emphasizing his extensive background in research, academics, and governance. He expressed confidence in his ability to contribute to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, stating his intention to serve the country diligently upon joining the Federal Executive Council.
After the confirmation, Senate President Godswill Akpabio remarked on Udeh’s suitability for the ministerial role. He expressed gratitude to the President for nominating Udeh, highlighting his qualifications and experience. Akpabio expressed hope that Udeh’s expertise would benefit the federal cabinet and support the realization of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
