According to News Agency of Nigeria, the team began their inspection at the Kabba Junction section of the Abuja-Lokoja Expressway, which marks the start of the Lokoja-Benin Expressway. The Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Salami Dedaat, highlighted that the Abuja-Lokoja highway, neglected by previous administrations, is now prioritized for completion under President Bola Tinubu. The road has been divided into five sections, each assigned to different contractors to expedite its completion.
The delegation also visited the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) in Osara, where they observed a combination of federal and state government projects. The Director of Administration at the university, Mohammed Ahmed, stated that the Federal Government, through the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), funded the construction of several faculty complexes with a total value exceeding N2.3bn. Additional support from TETFund through the 2025 Special Intervention (Renewed Hope Initiative) included the construction of a female hostel, Project Maintenance Intervention, and academic and research support.
