Abuja: Prof. Ben Ayade, the former Governor of Cross River State, has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is on a mission to recalibrate Nigeria and make the nation a source of pride for all its citizens. Ayade shared these insights on Monday in Abuja during an interaction with journalists at the conclusion of a road walk organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention Environment and Sanitation Sub-Committee.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ayade, who serves as the Co-chairman of the committee, emphasized that the administration has a clear agenda that prioritizes the welfare of Nigerians, ensuring that governance directly benefits the people. He praised the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) management for maintaining cleanliness in the city, urging other states to adopt similar environmental management practices.
Ayade also expressed gratitude to the committee members and public participants of the walk for their dedication to supporting the APC in the lead-up to the national convention. He voiced his confidence in a successful convention and expressed optimism for the party’s victory in the 2027 elections, underscoring the party’s preparedness and vision for Nigeria.
Sen. Uche Ekunife, Secretary of the committee, echoed Ayade’s sentiments, thanking participants for demonstrating the APC’s readiness for the 2027 general election and the intention to re-elect President Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima. Ekunife stated that the party anticipates a landslide victory, reflecting the public’s approval of APC’s governance under President Tinubu.
Alhaji Aminu Masari, Chairman of the APC National Convention Central Coordination Committee and the former Governor of Katsina State, also expressed appreciation to the committee members for their dedication. Masari highlighted the comprehensive measures put in place by the party to ensure a successful contest in the 2027 election, emphasizing grassroots mobilization, voter awareness, and strategic planning as essential elements of APC’s roadmap.
The road walk, organized to engage citizens and promote cleanliness in Abuja, served as a symbolic demonstration of the party’s commitment to practical governance and civic responsibility. Ayade reiterated that the APC’s agenda is people-centered, focusing on national development, infrastructural growth, and enhancing public services to improve the quality of life for Nigerians.
He concluded by encouraging Nigerians to actively participate in national development and support policies and initiatives that promote progress, unity, and a cleaner, healthier environment across the country.
