Abuja: Traditional and community leaders in various regions of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), including Karshi, Karu, Garki, and Bwari, have pledged their support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration. The commitment was made during a visit by the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by their coordinator, Mr. Adamu Abdullahi.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the leaders expressed their satisfaction with the efforts of FCT Minister, Mr. Nyesom Wike, in promoting development throughout the territory. They noted that the appointment of an Abuja indigene to a ministerial position and other strategic national roles has strengthened the sense of belonging among the local people.
Alhaji Usman Nga Kupi, the Sapeyi of Garki, praised President Tinubu for recognizing FCT natives with key national appointments. He reaffirmed his community’s commitment to supporting Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, citing the government’s developmental achievements in the FCT as a reason for their loyalty and electoral backing.
The Emir of Karshi, Alhaji Ismaila Muhammad, represented by community leader Alhaji Jibrin Adanda, also affirmed his subjects’ support for the Tinubu administration. He acknowledged ongoing infrastructural developments in the FCT and urged for continued government attention to address community needs.
Joseph Narai, the Sa’karuyi of Karu, commended President Tinubu’s administration for its exemplary governance and expressed his community’s support. He also praised the FCT Minister for the equitable distribution of infrastructural projects and the coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for his dedication to grassroots development.
Similarly, the Sarkin Bwari, Alhaji Awwal Ijakoro, promised that the traditional institution within the FCT would back Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027. He highlighted Minister Wike’s contributions to Bwari’s development, including improved road networks and the increased involvement of traditional rulers in governance.
Dr. Ibrahim Yaro, the Esu of Bwari, pledged to mobilize all tribal chiefs within his domain to ensure strong support for Tinubu in 2027. Earlier, the coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors described Tinubu’s administration as one that would be judged positively by history for its inclusive governance approach.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that over the past week, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors have maintained their grassroots mobilization efforts across the FCT.
