Post: Wike Commends FCDA Chief for Effective Supervision of FCT Projects


Abuja: Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has expressed commendation for the acting Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Mr. Richard Dauda, citing effective supervision of ongoing projects throughout the FCT as a key factor in their progress.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Wike made these remarks during a routine inspection of ongoing projects across the FCT. The projects under review included the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal Complex and 40 housing units Judges’ Quarters in Katampe. Additionally, the Minister inspected the CN 2 ring road in Katampe through Gishairi, as well as the dualisation of the Outer Southern Expressway stretching from Ring Road I to Ring Road II on the Apo to Wassa road corridor.



Wike expressed optimism regarding the timely completion and inauguration of these projects by President Bola Tinubu, aligning with the celebration of his third anniversary. He noted that the FCDA’s effective supervision had significantly influenced the contractors’ pace and quality of delivery.



The Minister voiced his satisfaction with the progress made, attributing it to the diligent oversight by the FCDA. “I’m very impressed with what is on the ground so far,” Wike stated. He further acknowledged the FCDA’s role in supervising the projects to their current stages, emphasizing the administration’s contentment with the work being done.
