Gombe: Gov. Muhammadu-Inuwa Yahaya has assured President Bola Tinubu that All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Gombe State will work for his re-election in 2027. Yahaya gave the assurance during the party’s local government congress in Gombe Local Government Area on Saturday.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Yahaya highlighted President Tinubu’s leadership in Nigeria and the APC, noting that it has boosted membership and strengthened unity within the party. The governor expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in the upcoming 2027 elections, citing the unity demonstrated during the congresses as a positive sign.
Yahaya expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his leadership, stating, “With the unity shown during these congresses, our fortune in 2027 is bright.” He further emphasized Gombe State’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged to work diligently to achieve success in future elections.
The governor also remarked on the smooth conduct of the congresses, attributing it to the strong unity at the state level. He commended the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee for their role in ensuring a fair and peaceful process. Yahaya noted that with the conclusion of the congresses, the state now has leaders at the ward and local government levels.
Dr. Danjuma Dabo, the Chairman of the Congress Committee from the party’s national headquarters, confirmed that the exercise followed prescribed guidelines. He assured that all ward congress results were in order and that the local government congresses proceeded as planned.
