Okitipupa: A political support group, BTO4PBAT27, has initiated its first phase of a ward tour in Okitipupa, within the Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, to enhance grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the ward tour, organised by the support group, aims to consolidate backing for Tinubu’s re-election, while promoting political participation and stakeholder engagement at the community level. The initiative is being coordinated under the leadership of the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
During the programme’s launch in Okitipupa, the Okitipupa LGA Coordinator of the group, Mr Olalekan Akindehin, encouraged party members and supporters to stay committed to advancing the policies, achievements, and vision of Tinubu at the grassroots. Akindehin highlighted the importance of unity, consistency, and ongoing engagement with the community to ensure the successful implementation and acceptance of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Additionally, the Publicity Secretary of the group, Mr Gbenga Adewunmi-Folajimi, called on ward coordinators to exhibit leadership beyond their official roles by actively mobilising members and holding regular ward meetings to maintain community involvement.
The Director-General of the group, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, urged members to remain united, politically active, and dedicated to strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the grassroots level. He also encouraged group members to formally register with the APC to solidify the party’s foundation ahead of future electoral activities.
In an effort to highlight the growing enthusiasm at the grassroots, Adojutelegan announced that the group ward tour would continue in other local council areas across the state. He also declared a donation of N1 million to the APC in the council area to support ongoing membership registration and mobilisation efforts.
