Abuja: Dr Bashir Bolarinwa has reaffirmed his commitment to confronting the security challenges facing Kwara when elected the State Governor in the 2027 general elections. Bolarinwa, a front-line governorship aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) restated this in Abuja on Saturday while submitting his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to the APC executives.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the submission of the forms is a significant step that formally signals the commencement of the aspirant’s electoral campaign for the governorship of Kwara. Bolarinwa reiterated that restoring peace, strengthening public safety, and protecting lives and property would remain central to his vision for a safer, more secure, and prosperous Kwara.

Bolarinwa emphasized the importance of addressing insecurity that has affected areas like Kwara North and Kwara South, which have experienced bandit attacks leading to humanitarian crises. He stated that tackling such issues would top his agenda. Furthermore, Bolarinwa highlighted the provision of social services as fundamental to improving the quality of life for the people.

He noted that access to essential public services, including health, education, and social welfare, would receive priority attention under his leadership. He expressed that governance should translate into tangible benefits for citizens, focusing on areas that directly impact their daily lives and well-being.

Bolarinwa assured that under his administration, opportunities would be expanded, and responsive services would be delivered to uplift communities across the state. He also expressed confidence in his chances of succeeding the incumbent governor, Malam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and pledged to continue the good work for the state.
