Post: Tinubu Celebrates Information Minister Idris’ 60th Birthday, Highlights Communication Skills


Abuja: President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, on his 60th birthday, describing him as an excellent communicator. The congratulatory message is contained in a statement personally signed by the President on Friday in Abuja.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, the president highlighted Idris’ contributions as a professional public relations executive and media leader. He praised the minister for bringing finesse, credibility, and gravitas to public communication within the administration. Tinubu noted Idris’ distinguished career in the media and public relations industry before his government role, including his achievements as the founder and publisher of Blueprint Newspapers and as chairman of a public relations and broadcast media outfit.



Tinubu also acknowledged Idris’ service as General Secretary of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN), describing him as a patriot and valued partner in nation-building. The president commended Idris for his diligence, brilliance, and commitment in communicating the achievements, policies, and programs of the administration. Tinubu noted that the minister has been steadfast in promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda throughout the country.



The president encouraged Idris to continue his efforts in public communication and national orientation and expressed his wishes for the minister’s good health and more years of service to the nation, joining family members, friends, and associates in celebrating the milestone.
