Post: City Boy Builds Nigeria Endorses Sen. Ashiru for Kwara Governorship Race


Ilorin: City Boy Builds Nigeria (CBN), Kwara Central Chapter, has officially endorsed Senator Lola Ashiru, who represents the Kwara South Senatorial District, as its preferred candidate for the Kwara Governorship race in 2027. The endorsement was announced in a communique by the Joint Consultative Assembly in Ilorin, highlighting Ashiru’s leadership qualities and progressive approach.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Bashir Alabi Erubu, speaking on behalf of the group, stated that the endorsement followed extensive consultations with stakeholders across the four local government areas of the Kwara Central Senatorial District. The group unanimously supported Ashiru, citing his credibility, experience, and capacity to unify and lead Kwara towards greater development.



Erubu emphasized Sen. Ashiru’s political maturity, legislative competence, and loyalty to progressive ideals as distinguishing factors, positioning him as the right leader to build on existing achievements. The assembly expressed confidence in Ashiru’s ability to further the Renewed Hope Agenda in Kwara, benefiting all citizens.



He urged all progressives, youths, and stakeholders in Kwara Central and beyond to unite under principled leadership with clear values and a shared vision for development. ‘The future of Kwara must be deliberately built, not left to chance,’ Erubu stated.



The assembly also noted the need for leadership in Kwara that can ensure deeper inclusiveness, strategic development, and long-term political and economic stability. They commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s efforts in sustaining progressive governance in the state.



CBN Mobiliser, Mr. Hammed Bolaji, expressed confidence in Sen. Ashiru’s ability to lead Kwara in the right direction, citing his track record of service and progressive mindset focused on the people’s interests.
