Maiduguri: Vice-President Kashim Shettima, on Saturday in Maiduguri, assured that President Bola Tinubu’s administration will continue to recognise the sacrifices of the Nigerian Armed Forces. Shettima made this statement while offering condolences to the Nigerian Army and the Borno Government following an attack that resulted in the death of Brig.-Gen. Oseni Braimah and other officers.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the vice-president also promised the military continued operational support and attention to their welfare. He emphasized the commitment of the administration to the well-being of the armed forces, acknowledging the critical role they play in ensuring national security.
Shettima remarked, “These men wore the uniform for all of us. They stood to protect our communities, our families and the future of our children.” He underscored the bravery of the armed forces, highlighting the significant sacrifices they make, which often come at a great personal cost.
