Post: Minister Warns Nigerians Against Falling for Scammers Ahead of 2027 Elections

Abuja:The Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Ahmadu, has advised Nigerians to be cautious of scammers and desperate politicians as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ahmadu emphasized the importance of scrutinizing political promises and evaluating the current administration’s performance before making decisions about the nation’s political future. He warned that politicians seeking power might make extravagant promises, urging voters to differentiate between mere campaign rhetoric and actual achievements.

Ahmadu advised voters to compare the accomplishments of President Bola Tinubu’s administration with those of past governments. He claimed that despite the nation’s challenges, the administration had made significant progress in critical sectors during its three years in office. Ahmadu asserted that no government since 1999 had delivered across all sectors as effectively as the current one.

He acknowledged public concerns regarding economic difficulties but argued that the administration’s policies were aimed at finding lasting solutions to national problems rather than providing temporary financial relief. Ahmadu appealed for patience, emphasizing that the government did not intend to cause hardship for citizens and that any measures taken were in the general interest of all Nigerians.

Highlighting the administration’s achievements, Ahmadu claimed that it had delivered more critical infrastructure, including roads and bridges, than previous governments combined since independence. The minister also mentioned the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as a significant intervention supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Ahmadu concluded by urging Nigerians to assess the administration’s achievements across various sectors and compare them with previous records before deciding whom to support in the upcoming elections. He stressed the importance of actual accomplishments over campaign promises, urging voters to be wary of politicians lacking a demonstrable record of delivery.
