Post: NRM Presidential Candidate Okereke Promises Grassroots Governance and Infrastructure Improvements

Abuja:Dr. Esther Okereke, the Presidential Candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), has pledged to prioritize grassroots governance and infrastructure development if elected as the next president. She emphasized that her leadership would ensure that the impact of good governance is felt by citizens at the grassroots level.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Okereke highlighted her understanding of the struggles faced by ordinary Nigerians, citing her firsthand experiences with local markets and community healthcare services. She criticized the poor condition of inter-state roads, labeling it a significant barrier to economic growth and human safety.

Okereke assured that the NRM has established a comprehensive organizational network nationwide, covering all 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, and 774 local government areas. This network aims to empower voters across the 176,000 polling units in the country.

She expressed her commitment to building quality roads nationwide, similar to infrastructure developments in the Federal Capital Territory. Okereke argued that neglecting basic infrastructure and economic empowerment leaves citizens vulnerable to vote-buying during elections.

Okereke urged Nigerians to use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to hold leaders accountable, rather than accepting short-term financial inducements. She encouraged citizens to vote for NRM and support her vision of rescuing and rebuilding Nigeria.

In her address, Okereke emphasized voting based on accountability and competency, regardless of gender. She stated her intention to serve as a representative and servant to the people, urging voters to support her candidacy for a government that prioritizes transparency and responsibility.
