Post: Turkish President and Iraqi Kurdish Leader Discuss Persian Gulf Conflict


Ankara: Turkish President Erdogan on Saturday engaged in a phone discussion with the President of Iraq’s Kurdish Regional Government (KRG), Nechirvan Barzani, focusing on the current situation in the Persian Gulf region.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, the conversation was shared through a statement by Trkiye’s Communications Directorate on the Turkish social media platform, NSosyal. During the call, Erdogan emphasized Trkiye’s ongoing commitment to counteractions that could lead the region into prolonged instability.



Erdogan also mentioned that recent activities by terrorist organizations and their affiliates were under close scrutiny. He assured that Trkiye is actively working towards ending regional conflicts and promoting a return to negotiation processes.
