Kathmandu: European Union Ambassador to Nepal V©ronique Lorenzo paid a courtesy call on Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadakraj Paudel. During their meeting at the Ministry, discussions focused on contemporary issues such as culture, tourism promotion, and aviation safety, as stated by Minister Paudel’s secretariat.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Paudel informed Ambassador Lorenzo about the efforts made to strengthen Nepal’s aviation safety and the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. He also discussed policy reforms aimed at promoting tourism, including health tourism.
Ambassador Lorenzo expressed commitment to cooperating in the fields of culture and tourism promotion. She noted that removing Nepal from the aviation safety list is a common goal for both the EU and Nepal and expressed satisfaction with Nepal’s progress in improving aviation safety and its readiness to address sectoral challenges.
