Kaduna: The Ninzo Community Development Association (NCDA) has called for the equipping and staffing of the rural hospital in Fadan Ninzo community of Sanga Local Government Area (LGA) in Kaduna. The association’s President, Prof. Aku Amboson, made the call at the annual Ninzo Cultural Festival in Fadan Ninzo.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Amboson stated that the hospital urgently required resident doctors, nurses, and other paramedical staff to ease the hardship faced by residents. He emphasized that such measures would facilitate access to quality healthcare services within the area and enhance the community’s productivity.
Amboson also urged Governor Uba Sani to construct roads linking the Ninzo Chiefdom with neighboring chiefdoms to boost development. He highlighted that insecurity could be mitigated through adequate investment in rural development, suggesting that the government ensure resources are allocated for this purpose to reduce unemployment, restiveness, and poverty in Ninzo Chiefdom.
Furthermore, Amboson called for the completion and upgrading of the Sanga South Development Area Office into a vocational center to enhance human capacity within the chiefdom. He also appealed for the restoration of the original name and structure of the Ninzo Chiefdom, asserting that the preservation of cultural identity was vital for community development.
Similarly, Alhaji Umar Musa, the Uchu of Ninzo, appealed to the governor to construct access roads to improve economic activities. The traditional ruler specifically called for roads linking Fadan Ninzo with Agamati Chiefdom, as well as routes to Wamba and Akwanga in Nasarawa State. He pointed out the need for better infrastructure to connect the chiefdom with neighboring areas, which would facilitate economic growth and development.
In his remarks, Governor Uba Sani, represented by his Counsellor for Political Affairs, Ado Dogo, acknowledged the importance of festivals in preserving cultural heritage. He encouraged communities to utilize such platforms to promote unity and development, adding that communities would participate in prioritizing projects under the N100 million allocation approved for each of the 255 political wards in the 2026 budget.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the event, themed ‘Harmony with Nature: Celebrating Indigenous Roots,’ is organized annually to promote the culture of the Ninzo people in Sanga LGA. The event also featured a fundraiser for the proposed Ninzo Empowerment Centre, with highlights including the crowning of Miss Ninzo, cultural displays, and musical performances.
