Lagos: A Coroner’s court in Igbosere, Lagos State, has suspended the inquest into the death of the 21-month-old son of renowned author Chimamanda Adichie. The child, Master Nkanu Adichie-Esege, was the son of Chimamanda and Dr. Ivara Esege and passed away in January in Lagos.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Master Nkanu Adichie-Esege was admitted to Euracare Multi-Specialist Hospital in Lagos on January 6, following a referral from Atlantis Paediatric Hospital. Unfortunately, he died in the early hours of January 7 after undergoing medical procedures at the hospital.
The Coroner, Magistrate Atinuke Adetunji, announced that the proceedings in the inquest would be suspended. The suspension will remain until further directives are issued from the chief coroner of the state.
