Post: Jigawa APC Elders Endorse Namadi, Pledge N100 Million for Tinubu’s Re-Election

Dutse: The Jigawa APC Elders Committee has taken a significant political step by purchasing and presenting nomination and expression of interest forms to Governor Umar Namadi. The presentation took place during a brief ceremony held at the council chamber of the Government House in Dutse, attended by senior party leaders, government officials, and members of the elders committee.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the committee also expressed strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign, pledging N100 million towards his bid. Mr. Ali Sa’adu-Birninkudu, a former governor of Jigawa, presented the forms on behalf of the committee and commended Governor Namadi’s leadership style.

Sa’adu-Birninkudu highlighted that the committee had thoroughly reviewed recent developments before making their decision to support both leaders. He praised the governor’s dedication to governance, accountability, and people-centered development across the state. Furthermore, he acknowledged President Tinubu’s policies and reform agenda, noting their positive impact on citizens’ welfare and the strengthening of public institutions.

The presentation of the forms fulfilled an earlier commitment by the committee to support Governor Namadi and President Tinubu. Sa’adu-Birninkudu emphasized the committee’s commitment to backing leaders who deliver effective governance and urged Governor Namadi to arrange a meeting with the President to present the N100 million cheque, which would aid in purchasing the President’s nomination forms.

He concluded by offering prayers for divine wisdom and success for both leaders in the upcoming 2027 general elections and reaffirmed the committee’s loyalty to the APC. In response, Governor Namadi expressed gratitude for the elders’ support, describing their gesture as encouraging and deeply appreciated by his administration. He assured them of facilitating a meeting with the President to personally present the cheque.
