Igbokoda:The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the recent crash of a Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft near Igbokoda, Ondo State.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, CAN President Archbishop Daniel Okoh emphasized the importance of a professional probe and expressed condolences for the victims of the tragic incident. He stressed that the findings and safety recommendations from the investigation should be given due attention.
Okoh highlighted the necessity of improving aviation safety, aircraft maintenance, operational procedures, and emergency response systems to protect the lives of personnel undertaking challenging assignments for the nation.
On behalf of the Christian community in Nigeria, the CAN president extended his condolences to the families of the deceased, the Nigerian Air Force, the Armed Forces, and the people and Government of Ondo State. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces and the burdens borne by their families.
He urged Nigerians to keep the affected families and the Nigerian Air Force in their thoughts and prayers, hoping for eternal rest for the departed and comfort for the grieving.
